That is the question. Eco-friendly gardening has many benefits for both you and the environment, and you can make a difference even in the smallest garden.

Everyone has the opportunity to make a positive impact. Even a window box full of pollinator-friendly flowers will have an effect. Urban homes now have window box plants that contribute to the environment.

Plant hedges in your yard

Planting a hedge or a tree in your front garden can help you reduce pollution and noise. These plants can also bring in birds, bees and a host of wildlife right in front of your yard. A totally paved front garden has no environmental benefits and actually causes harm by increasing the risk and reducing biodiversity. So get planting.

You can help fight climate change

You can combat climate change in your garden. Gardens can play a significant role in addressing the causes and effects of climate change. Extreme weather events related to climate change, such as floods and heat waves, are on the rise. Gardeners have a significant opportunity to help address the effects of climate change. Plants such as ivy can not only help keep your house cooler in summer and warmer in winter, but trees and hedges also reduce flood risks, capture carbon from the air and produce oxygen.

Environmentally friendly gardening is all about working with nature rather than against it. Either reducing or eliminating your use of garden chemicals is a really positive step for human and environmental health.
