The best way to keep this gorgeous succulent thriving for years is by propagating it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Here are four easy, foolproof ways to multiply your String of Pearls<\/em> and enjoy their cascading charm all over your home.<\/span><\/p>\n

Propagate in soil<\/h3>\n

This is the simplest and most reliable way to grow new plants.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Snip a healthy stem about 10\u201315 cm long using clean scissors and let the cut end dry for a day or two so it can callus \u2013 this helps prevent rotting. Gently remove a few pearls from the bottom of the stem and, if you have some, dip the exposed nodes in rooting hormone. Plant the stem into a small pot filled with well-draining succulent mix, firming the soil lightly around it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
